Grade Raising I-10 Ramps @ LA 3188 Int.
Due to flooding issues, the ramps running westbound and eastbound through I-10 at LA-3188 needed to be raised, some sections requiring 2” and some as much as 24”. New embankments were installed, as well as new road striping, new guard rails, new curbs and gutters, new signs, new lights, and improved light locations. Adverse weather conditions effected the project timeline, but the project was finished on schedule and utilized 26,000 tons of asphalt. The creative challenges posed by ramp leveling on pre-existing structures were obstacles the Barber Brothers team welcomed and overcame.
